Weight loss without Sickness
There is a pattern that everyone trying to lose weight experiences. In the beginning you're very excited and work really hard. By the end of the first week you're sore and exhausted, but still excited!
By the end of week two you feel exhausted. Not the "I just finished a good workout" exhausted, but the bone tired, "I can't seem to recover" exhaustion!
Sound familiar?
For the majority of my life I've been a Personal Trainer. This is a pattern that I saw every day in every gym I've worked in.
You see, the problem lies in the fact that, when a person attempts to lose weight they cut back their caloric intake. This also results in a DECREASE in their nutritional intake. Combine this with the additional strain on their body experienced with progressively more intense exercise and you're guaranteed the client will get sick.
During exercise the body needs MORE nutrition, not less. It needs MORE protein to rebuild the muscles and energy stores. Many GOOD things happen as a result of exercise...but ONLY if there are enough nutrition and quality calories.
So the pattern goes like this.
When a training client gets sick they are out for at least a week, sometimes two. More than once I've seen them give up rather than go back and repeat that process.
The solution to the problem was a nutritional program. I did my research and a little trial and error then came up with the following supplement program.
This system worked to keep my clients from getting sick. It also helped them have energy to workout and recover fully before the next workout.
In 2012 I was invited to hear a renowned Doctor speak about the necessity of mineral supplementation in the diet. I love learning about health so my wife and I attended.
At the meeting we learned about the depletion of the minerals in the soil as a result of over farming. We were shocked and intrigued since neither of us had really considered how the food we eat might be deficient. Fit people spend a lot of time shopping, preparing and eating healthy organic food. It's possible they're wasting their money on food that is STILL lacking the essential nutrients.
We knew we had to test these claims. So, we decided to order a 3 months supply of this mineral supplement and try it. I would forego my supplement program as I described above and JUST take the new mineral rich supplements. I began this test during the "Cold & Flu" season and I was curious to sick if I got sick.
